Halo Tales Sweepstakes Official Rules

  1. Eligibility: The Halo Tales Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Halo, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

 

  1. Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Halo (the “Sponsor”), located at 50 Tice Boulevard, Suite 340 | Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677.

 

  1. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

 

  1. Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes begins on March 5, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on March 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Entries that are submitted before or after the Sweepstakes Period will be disqualified.

 

  1. How to Enter: To enter, entrants must submit a story about their Halo and a photo of their dog in their Halo via emailing content@Halocollar.com or social media channels during the Sweepstakes Period. Each entrant may submit only one (1) entry. Any attempt by an entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, or logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

 

  1. Winner Selection: The Sponsor will select up to 3 (three) potential winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will be conducted on or about April 7, 2025. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received.

 

  1. Prize: Each winner will receive (3) months of Gold Pack Membership. The approximate retail value of the prize is $59.97. Actual/appraised value may differ at the time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the Sponsor. No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is non transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of the prize or transfer/assignment of the prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Halo to use winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

 

  1. Winner Notification: The potential winners will be notified by email within five (5) days following the winner selection. The Sponsor shall have no liability for a winner’s failure to receive notices due to winners’ spam, junk email, or other security settings or for winners’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within seven (7) days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

 

  1. General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Sweepstakes is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Sweepstakes and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

 

  1. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Sweepstakes, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event, or in any Sweepstakes-related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, receipt, or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Use of Entry Photos: By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants acknowledge and agree that the photos of their Halo Tale submitted as part of their entry may be used by Halo for promotional purposes, including but not limited to, being featured on Halo’s social media channels. Entrants hereby grant Halo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display the submitted photos in any media formats and through any media channels. Entrants represent and warrant that they have all necessary rights and permissions to grant the foregoing license to Halo, and that their submission of photos does not infringe or violate any third party’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.

 

By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree that their entry photos may be used by Halo in accordance with the terms outlined above, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. If entrants do not agree to these terms, they should not submit photos as part of their entry into the Sweepstakes.

 

Please note: The decision to feature submitted photos on Halo’s social media channels will be at the sole discretion of Halo, and not all submitted photos may be selected for use.
