Information We Collect Automatically:
Halo, our service providers, or our third-party partners may also automatically collect information from you when you visit our Applications and use our Services through cookies and other tracking technologies. Such information does not directly identify you as an individual and may include:
- Cookies and Similar Technology
We may store some information on your device or device hard drive in the form of a cookie or similar type of file (such as clear gifs, web beacons, tags, and similar technologies that work on mobile devices) to collect data related to usage of the Applications or our other Services. “Cookies” or mobile IDs are pieces of information that may be placed on your computer by a website or mobile application for the purpose of collecting data to facilitate and enhance your communication and interaction with that Application. Such data may include, without limitation, the address of the applications you visited before and after you visited the Applications, the type of browser you are using, your operating system, system configuration information, internet service provider, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, what pages in the Applications you visit and what links you clicked on, the region where your device is located, and geo-IP data. We may use cookies or mobile IDs to customize your visit to the Applications and for other purposes to make your visit more convenient or to enable us to enhance our Services.
- Clickstream
As you use the Internet, a trail of electronic information is left at each website or mobile application you visit. This information, which is sometimes referred to as “clickstream data,” can be collected and stored by an Applications’ server. Clickstream data can tell us the type of computer and browsing software you use and the address of the website or mobile ID from which you linked to the Applications. We may collect and use clickstream data as a form of aggregate information to anonymously determine how much time visitors spend on each page of our Applications, how visitors navigate throughout the Applications and how we may tailor our Applications to better meet the needs of visitors. This information will be used to improve our Applications and Services.
- Analytics
We may work with third-party service providers who use the technologies described in this section to conduct analytics to help us track and understand how visitors use our Applications and Services.
- Geolocation Data
When you sign up for an account and use the Halo Collar mobile app, we will request access or permission to track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using our mobile application to provide certain location-based services: using the Halo Collar, setting up fences as part of the Services or our “Walk” service that allows you to track your walks with the Halo Collar. We may request access or permission to use certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s Bluetooth, camera, application log data, sensors, microphone or other features. How much information we collect depends on the type of settings of the device you use to access the Services. You can opt out of allowing us to collect your mobile device information either by refusing access to the information or by disabling the location sharing setting on your device. However, if you choose to opt out, you may not be able to use certain aspects of the Services. The Services also collect location-based information from your Halo Collar whenever it is used. This geolocation data is provided by using Global Navigation Satellite System (“GNSS”) in combination with other wireless communication (e.g., cellular, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi) to determine your animals’ location while using the Halo Collar and relaying such information to us. This location information is the location of the Halo Collar device.

Please note that we may take steps to verify your identity and residency before granting you access to information or acting on your request to exercise your rights, as required or permitted by law. If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof of written authorization you have given to make the request. We may limit our response to your exercise of the above rights as permitted by law. We will confirm receipt of your request and comply with your request in the time period required under the CCPA.
If a request or series of requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee for processing the request(s) or may refuse to process the request(s).
If you have implemented an opt-out preference signal (sometimes known as a global privacy control) through your browser or device, we will treat that opt-out preference signal as a valid request of your Right to Opt-Out. Once we recognize the opt-out preference signal on our Services, we will automatically apply your Right to Opt-Out to the browser or device through which we recognize the signal. The Services respond to opt-out preference signals in a frictionless manner (i.e., you do not need to take any additional steps for your opt-out preference signal to be recognized). To learn more about opt-out preference signals, please visit https://globalprivacycontrol.org.
