Learn What’s New
Bluetooth Pro Tip
Every person’s phone settings are different. From recent operating system changes on iPhone to many different choices available for Android users, Bluetooth permissions can get confusing – but we’re here to help!
With this new Pro Tip notification, we’ll let you know when we detect that Bluetooth is disabled or disconnected, with helpful information about how you can turn it back on.
A Bluetooth connection lets you track your pup’s real-time location on the My Map screen, while other features like Pet Mode changes and Instant Feedback are faster over Bluetooth.

Wi-Fi and LTE Pro Tips
Your Halo Collar will keep your dog contained in his or her fences regardless of what connection type you are using. However, you can make your experience even better by using Wi-Fi and LTE connections to enhance your Halo’s features.
Similar to Bluetooth, we will send user-friendly Pro Tip notifications when we notice that you could benefit from a Wi-Fi or LTE connection. These Pro Tips will also teach you how to change your connection to enable these features.
When you’re connected to Wi-Fi, your Halo will automatically download firmware updates while plugged in to charge, so you’ll always have access to our newest features! A Wi-Fi connection also allows your collar to download satellite data so that location tracking is as accurate as possible.
Having an LTE connection allows you to track your pup’s location when Wi-Fi and Bluetooth aren’t available, so you will always know where they are!
How to Use It
These notifications are here to remind you which type of connection your collar is using, so you can always get the most out of your Halo.
Remember that you can set up a Wi-Fi connection in multiple locations so you can get the benefits of Wi-Fi when you are away from home. You can even use your phone as a wireless hotspot if you are in an area without a Wi-Fi network!
These notifications are in response to customer feedback – we’re listening to you and we’re committed to delivering the best user experience possible. Let us know what you think of the newest app version!
Sincerely,
The Halo Team
